“RoboDEX - 7th Robot Development & Application Expo” held from
January 25 to 27 in Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo, Japan.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br/></span></p><p>
</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">This is an exhibition where robot manufacturers and
robot-related companies around the world introduce the latest robots and
related technologies which realize DX (Digital Transformation) at
manufacturing sites. While many companies have been accelerating the
utilization of robots at manufacturing sites to improve productivity and
realize labor saving, NTN will introduce products such as Wrist Joint
Module “i-WRIST?” and other products that contribute to function
enhancement of robots and automation/labor saving at manufacturing
sites.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br/></span></p><p>
</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">“i-WRIST?” is a compact positioning module that
achieves a wide range of angle movement while saving space. It can move
smoothly like human wrist at high-speed to perform minor position
(angle) changes, which vertically articulated robots are not good at
doing, and can replace the various processes that were carried out by
human with high-speed and high-accuracy.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br/></span></p><p>
</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">At the booth, we will exhibit demonstration units of
appearance inspection, grease dispensing as examples of system
configuration using “i-WRIST?.” For appearance inspection application,
we will also propose image processing system and equipment configuration
in collaboration with System Integrator (SIer). In addition, we will
introduce “i-WRIST? Starter-Package” for the first time. It is an
assembly product that consists of main unit of “i-WRIST?,” and
peripheral parts/equipment so that customers can start the use of
“i-WRIST?” easily.</span></p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;"><br/></span></p><p>
</p><p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 14px;">In addition, NTN will exhibit “Multi Track Magnetic
Ring” and “Multi Track Magnetic Encoder Integrated Rolling Bearing” as
products that contribute to angle detection of vertically articulated
robot joints. “Multi Track Magnetic Ring” can detect rotational speed
and absolute angle with industry's highest level in angle detection
resolution (maximum 20bit, resolution of approximately 0.00034°) by
combining with a dedicated sensor, and can be used under usage
conditions with oil and dust. “Multi Track Magnetic Encoder Integrated
Rolling Bearing” is a product that integrates a bearing with “Multi
Track Magnetic Ring” and a dedicated sensor. It contributes to reduction
of the number of components, and downsizing/lightweighting of robot
joints.</span></p><p>
