MPIF Donates to Food Bank

<p style="text-align: center;"><img src="/ueditor/php/upload/image/20210728/1627458252535960.jpg" title="1627458252535960.jpg" alt="1.jpg"/></p><p>During the closing night event “An All-American BBQ”, at PowderMet2021, Orlando, Florida, the Metal Powder Industries Federation (MPIF) announced their donation to the Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida.&nbsp;</p><p><br/></p><p>In lieu of traditional centerpieces, the North American powder metallurgy trade association created centerpieces using canned goods and non-perishable items. “The COVID-19 pandemic has been difficult on our entire country,” stated James P. Adams, MPIF Executive Director/CEO. “MPIF took this opportunity to give back to the local community, helping subsidize the community’s food bank, rather than adding expended decorations to a landfill.”&nbsp;</p><p><br/></p><p>After the event, the food items were donated to the local charity, Second Harvest Food Bank.&nbsp; Second Harvest Food Bank of Central Florida collects, inventories, and distributes donated food to more than 550 feeding partners in six Central Florida counties.&nbsp; The food bank has distributed millions of meals to partner programs such as food pantries, soup kitchens, women&#39;s shelters, senior centers, day care centers and Kids Cafes. In total MPIF donated over 500 canned goods and more than 100 boxes of non-perishable food items.</p><p><br/></p>
